Report on June consultation feedback published

A report summarising and analysing the feedback to June’s consultation activities is now available from the downloads page of this website.

During June, staff, students, near neighbours, alumni, University partners  and key stakeholders were shown the emerging proposals for the new campus – a more detailed set of ideas and alternatives for how the campus could be developed over the coming 25 years than had been available at earlier stages of consultation in April and May.

Exhibitions of the emerging proposals were held at the Frenchay campus from Monday 8 June to Saturday 13 June, including two 'meet the team' sessions during the week and drop in sessions for near neighbours on the Friday and Saturday. A workshop was held for key stakeholders. You can see the materials from the exhibitions here.

People responded through this website by completing the questionnaire or posting a comment on the forum, and by speaking directly to members of the masterplanning team.

There has been an encouraging response to the consultation so far:

  • 78 staff and students spoke to members of the masterplanning team at the exhibition 'meet the team’ sessions
  • 23 people attended a second stakeholder workshop
  • 57 members of the public attended the near neighbour drop-in sessions
  • There have been more than 6,000 visits to this website
  • By the June 18 deadline for inclusion in the report, 329 questionnaires had been completed, 87 per cent of them online

UWE’s Board of Governors will now consider the latest proposals and indicate their preferred approach to masterplanning the new campus. This will be the subject of a further round of consultation, including a public exhibition at Frenchay from Thursday 16 July to Saturday 18 July.
